ドイツのライト、というデュッセルドルフにちかい小さな町で生まれ、今もそこで暮らすグレゴール・シュナイダー。

彼の作品は、横浜美術館の通常の展覧会では、来場者が決して訪れなような、階下の狭い空間の中に展示されていた。

表示板の指し示す方向に進みながら、本当にここに展示があるのだろうか？と訝りながら進むと、ジャーマン・アンクストという作品があった。

その空間を訪れた人は、おそらく、何事かを連想し、あるいは思い出すことだろう。
