マイケル・ランディのアート・ビンには、私が訪れた時には、すでに多くの作品が投げ捨てられていた。

私が館内を見学している最中にも、何人かの人が、作品を投げ入れていた。

ゴヤの絵のように見える作品は、このトリエンナーレのアーティスティック・ディレクター、森村泰昌の作品。

ずっとアトリエに眠っていた作品を、自らこのゴミ箱に捨てたとのこと。

その他にも、絵画、彫刻、写真、わけのわからないオブジェなど、多くの芸術作品が捨てられている。

マイケル・ランディは、膨大なゴミを生み出している現代社会への皮肉と、芸術作品が多くの失敗作品の上に成り立っていることなどを、この作品で表したかったのだろう。
